I get a lot of my brides asking what they should wear to an engagement shoot. I ALWAYS recommend bringing at least 2 outfits. The first being a casual outfit. By casual I mean something you would normally wear on a day to day basis. I want you both to feel comfortable in what you are wearing so you can be YOU in front of the camera. I also recommend bringing a formal outfit. Dressing up during an engagement shoot makes it feel like a date. & why shouldn’t you have a blast while taking pictures?! We will jam out to music and capture your love story in action. Wearing Formal attire makes it 10 times better! I promise! When choosing your formal attire make sure to match your personality. If you are a boho bride to be then wear a long and flowy dress. If you are a timeless bride then search for pops of color! I will never recommend that you wear something that doesn’t feel like you. BUT I do want you to search for something that emphasizes your relationship or personality. Take Rachel for example: She and her love knew they wanted to capture their fairytale love story. They were high school sweethearts and wanted to take pictures that stood out at a location they love. Wearing that stunning red dress and dark black tux to match made their pictures POP! So I guess my best advice is to make sure your outfits are YOU. & don’t be afraid to emphasize how epic your love story is!
